San Diego Sports Doctor at ITU Triathlon World Championship Series

Dr John Martinez, a San Diego sports doctor at Coastal Sports and Wellness Medical Center, has been named as one of the sports medicine support staff for USA Triathlon and the elite US men and women triathletes competing on the ITU Triathlon World Championship Series.

Dr Martinez has previously provided medical coverage for the USA Triathlon Team USA age group teams competing at various triathlon world championship events since 2004. He has also been part of the volunteer medical staff for the Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon since 1999 and is the sports medicine director for the Carlsbad Marathon.
